Using Arkivi
You may use Arkivi to catalogue personal collections, scan barcodes, import records, write private notes and reviews, manage lending, export data, and sync your collection across devices when signed in.
You are responsible for the information you add to Arkivi and for keeping access to your email account secure.
Accounts
Arkivi uses passwordless email sign-in. You must provide an email address you control and keep it current enough to receive sign-in links or codes. You may use local-only features without signing in, but cloud sync and some server features require an account.
Your Content
You keep ownership of the collection information, notes, reviews, photos, and imported records you add to Arkivi. You grant Arkivi the limited rights needed to store, process, sync, back up, export, and display that content for you inside Arkivi.
Do not upload unlawful content, content you do not have permission to use, or content that interferes with Arkivi's services.
Metadata and Estimates
Arkivi may display item metadata, cover art, links, or value estimates from third-party services. This information can be incomplete or wrong. Arkivi is a cataloguing aid, not a professional appraisal, insurance, tax, legal, or financial service.
Purchases and Subscriptions
Arkivi may offer Arkivi Free and Arkivi Pro plans. Final prices and any trial terms will be shown in the App Store or Google Play purchase flow before you subscribe.
Payments, subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where you subscribed. Arkivi uses RevenueCat to understand subscription status and unlock paid features, but Arkivi does not process or store credit card details.
The free tier is limited to 100 scanned items and does not include cloud sync.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- reverse engineer or misuse Arkivi's services;
- scrape, overload, probe, or attack Arkivi's backend or metadata providers;
- use Arkivi to upload malware, spam, or unlawful material;
- bypass paid-feature gates or account restrictions;
- interfere with another person's use of Arkivi.
Service Changes
Arkivi is in beta and may change quickly. Features may be added, modified, limited, paused, or removed as Arkivi prepares for launch.
Termination and Deletion
You may stop using Arkivi at any time. Arkivi provides account deletion and data export flows in the app for store compliance. Arkivi may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create security risk, or misuse the service.
Disclaimers
Arkivi is provided as is, to the extent allowed by law. Arkivi does not promise that Arkivi will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that metadata from third-party services will always be accurate.
Liability
To the extent allowed by law, Arkivi is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunities. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim somewhere else.
